Description
The Community Connections Mentoring Program connects newcomers to Canada with volunteers in the community to provide support to newcomers that are settling into their new life Thunder Bay.
- Professional mentors will share their knowledge and skills and when possible provide opportunities for newcomers to explore careers similar to theirs in Canada.
- Professional mentors will meet with the newcomer at times that are flexible and meet the schedule of both parties.
Volunteers will complete a registration form, attend an interview and will be provided with an orientation to the program. - Both parties will attend a meeting with the Program Coordinator to discuss the expectations of each other.
- Length of “match” and number of meetings will vary depending on the availability of mentor.
Must be 19 years +
