Here at Shelter House, we truly value and rely heavily on our volunteers! We are always looking for folks to come in and join our awesome team of hardworking, dedicated individuals to help us in the kitchen.

Description
We are currently searching for volunteers to help in the soup kitchen with meal preparation, cooking and serving dishes and cleaning.
Groups of 8-12 members are encouraged, but individuals can come to support the service as well. The parameters of coming in as an individual volunteer are different than that of a group, so please contact our volunteer coordinator for more information: katie.watson@shelterhouse.on.ca
Date(s): Various Dates (See Community Soup Kitchen Calendar Below)
Time(s): Approximately 4-hour shifts
- LUNCH: Arrive at 11:00 AM to start cooking (Lunch served from 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM)
- DINNER: Arrive at 5:00 PM to start cooking (Dinner served from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
This is a fun opportunity to work in a kitchen preparing and serving food to those in need.
Soup Kitchen Calendar (2019 is available)
Meals are cooked twice a day, 365 days a year, and availability depends on previous bookings.
The calendars are updated as bookings are made.
