Yes Employment Services is currently looking for reliable, innovative, flexible individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors.
Are you looking for a meaningful leadership opportunity with an established organization in our community?
YES Employment Services (Thunder Bay) is a non-profit organization with a long history of providing much needed support to members of our community. Established in 1981, YES Employment’s roots are in helping youth find employment. Over the years our services have grown to encompass all members of our community, and while youth remain an important part of our organization, we now work with all of Thunder Bay’s diverse population. We believe that everyone who wants to work, deserves to work, and we can help.
YES Employment’s Board is a governance board. We provide strategic direction and leadership to the organization. Our experienced staff carry out the implementation.
Requirements of Board Members: 1. Commit to serving a 3-year term and meeting once per month from September to June. 2. Be willing to serve on one or more committee (Finance, Governance, Nominating, etc). 3. Attend Annual General Meetings. 4. Participate in special events. 5. Must be Adult (Ages 18+).
Monthly board meetings take place over the lunch hour + committee meetings.
