Description
The Friends of Quetico Park is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting the park so that future generations may enjoy it as we do today.
To this end, we promote programs and activities that raise awareness, bring understanding and enhance the park experience. The Friends are comprised of a dedicated volunteer board of directors, general membership, and a staff that serves administrative and sales needs. Through donations, memberships and sale of merchandise, we have funded book publications, park trails, a bird watching program, trail signs, research and many other projects.
In the next few years, we hope to help fund…
- New interpretive signs for the pavilions
- A bank of new displays for the Dawson pavilion
- A campground clean up day
- The gathering of information about the cultural heritage along the Quetico portion of the Boundary Waters Canadian Heritage River System
Ongoing volunteer opportunities are available.
