St. Joseph’s Care Group – Heritage, Thunder Bay
Volunteers at St. Joseph’s Care Group are an integral and valued part of the care provided to the clients and residents we serve. Our volunteers are engaged in meaningful ways that reflect their various skills, abilities, needs and backgrounds.
Our volunteer opportunities include: Friendly Visitor, Mealtime Companion, Recreation Assistant, Special Events Assistant, and Spiritual Care Assistant.
Do you have an idea for a unique project or volunteer role that would benefit our clients? We’d love to hear about it!
Volunteers will need to complete a St. Joseph’s Care Group application. Once the information is received by Volunteer Services, an interview time will be arranged. Two reference checks, a Police Vulnerable Sector Check and a health assessment are required.
Individuals who speak a second language, including French, Finnish, Italian, Ojibway, Cree, Oji-Cree, etc. are encouraged to apply.
Upon request, accommodations due to a disability are available throughout the selection process.
