ICAN! Social Network (Independence, Confidence, Achievements, Networking)
DATE: Wednesdays; ongoing period
ICAN! Social Network is a weekly opportunity for persons with developmental disabilities to network, establish friendships, and have fun. Every Wednesday there is a different ‘theme’.
Once a month, our ICAN! the group enjoys an event in the community (ie. karaoke, cheerleading, crafts, baking, games, music and line dancing; offsite community engagement such as swimming, bowling, coffee night at Tim Horton’s, Live at the Waterfront, Border Cats baseball games ).
We are always looking for volunteers to engage with our really great group of people. We also encourage youths 13 and above to apply for such an opportunity.
A criminal reference check, if 18 years+, will be required (volunteer letter to be provided and cost of check to be reimbursed by TBFN), signed a release of Media Recording (in order for us to share/post/utilize).
