Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre has a Mission to deliver quality patient experience in an academic health care environment that is responsive to the needs of the population of Northwestern Ontario. We are a recognized leader in Patient and Family Centred Care.

Our world-class acute care facility with 375 beds serves the people of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario. Our region has a population of over 250,000 residents scattered over a geographical area the size of France.

Volunteers are key to helping the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre achieve its Mission. They enhance the programs and services we offer and assist staff in providing exceptional Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC). Our Hospital’s dedicated and loyal volunteers provide service in a number of different areas including reception, administration, greeting, patient care areas, and retail sales.
