Volunteer Thunder Bay is looking for energetic and committed members of our community to be part of our Board of Directors. Any experience with working with a Board or as part of a community agency is an asset.
Our Mission
Volunteer Thunder Bay is a leader in promoting, supporting and developing volunteerism in Thunder Bay and region to enhance quality of life for all.
Our Vision
To have communities where volunteerism is engaged, nurtured and valued!
Our Goals
- Promoting volunteerism and its personal, organizational and societal benefits.
- Connecting people with opportunities within Thunder Bay and outlying communities.
- Providing leadership through guidance, services and resources to the voluntary sector.
- Building partnerships and memberships with agencies, corporate sponsors and stakeholders.
- Financial Sustainability and growth within the organization.
Expectations of a Member:
- Monthly Board Meeting (approximately one hour a month).
- Participation at organization events and fundraisers, such as our Volunteer Fair (approximately two events for eight hours total a year).
- Support other organizational tasks, such as reviewing or helping write proposals, attending a workshop or event on behalf of the organization (approximately four hours a year).
- Assist with Bingos at Superior Shores Gaming Association as available.
