If you enjoy working with your hands, learning new skills, working hard and having fun, join Habitat for Humanity on our build projects!
No previous construction experience is required for most positions!
Volunteer Position – Building Project
1) Crew Member: Crew Members help in all phases of the building project, from laying the foundation, framing, drywalling and painting – they are what help Habitat get the job done! Volunteers must be able to safely lift a minimum of 20lbs, and follow directions.
Volunteers between the age of 16 and 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
2) Crew Leader: Crew Leaders work alongside the Build Coordinator to guide and teach Crew Members the skills they need to get the job done.
Crew Leaders must be over the age of 25, with strong leadership skills. Additional training will be provided to Crew Leaders so they can confidently lead others. Previous construction experience is an asset, but not a requirement.
3) Hospitality: If you want to help on the build site, but don’t want to swing a hammer, Hospitality is for you! Hospitality crew members help to check-in crew leaders, serve refreshments, and ensure that the build site remains clean and running smoothly.
