Join Habitat for Humanity in the ReStore – the store that helps build homes in our community! There are a variety of volunteer opportunities for all skills levels. Volunteers must be over the age of 16, with the exception of drivers and deconstruction crew members.
1) General ReStore Crew: ReStore crew members can help in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the ReStore – from providing customer service, to accepting donations, testing and repairing donated items, pricing, inventorying and preparing sales displays, as well as keeping the store clean and a pleasant shopping experience for customers, there is something for everyone!
2) Driver and Driver Assistant: Drivers and driver assistants help the ReStore by picking up community donations throughout Thunder Bay. Drivers must be over the age of 25, with a valid G License and clean drivers abstract. Must be able to safely lift and carry 50lb+.
3) Cashier: Cashiers will help in the ReStore by processing payments, answering phone calls and customers’ questions. Volunteers must complete a criminal records check and provide 2 references.
1) Deconstruction Crew: Deconstruction crew members work on an on-call basis to remove items from donors’ homes and businesses, such as kitchen cabinets, furniture, and other salvageable building materials. Deconstruction crew members must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50lbs and work as part of a team. Volunteers must be over the age of 18, complete a criminal records check and provide 2 references.
