The Unofficial Run for Women, presented by women who are willing to step up, is back again – delighting thousands of female running enthusiasts. On Saturday, May 7th, 2016 runners and walkers will take to the trail at Boulevard Lake starting at 10 AM for a 5K walk/run or stroll (children welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult). This is a FREE event and registration is not required. Water and snacks will be provided.
For 35 years, Thunder Bay organized one of the largest women’s runs in Canada. Many businesses and volunteers helped to make this a successful event. Every year, the day before Mother’s Day, a thousand women would walk/run or stroll 5km, around Boulevard Lake. The event raised significant charitable dollars for our community. The tradition of women walking with their mothers, daughters, sisters, family and friends meant so much to so many.
Please join us in the continuation of this tradition so that we may share this wonderful experience and celebration of women with the next few generations to come.

Volunteers are needed to help with this event at all areas, from the start line, to the mid way point for water distribution, to the finish line for water & snack distribution. This is going to be a fun event celebrating a great tradition in our community.
Volunteers are needed from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm at Boulevard Lake (Lyon Blvd Meeting At Park)
