ICAN! Social Network is looking for Volunteers every Wednesday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Monty Parks Centre, 450 Fort William Road.
Volunteers can be Youths (ages 13-17) or Adults (Ages 18+).
ICAN! is an opportunity for individuals with disabilities to network socially while having some fun together!
Our monthly calendar of events is created by Natalie, ICAN!’s Coordinator, but the ideas are supplied by our dynamic group of really great people! ICAN! enjoys adventuring offsite once a month and remains onsite (at MPC) for the remaining weeks. We could use the extra sets of hands to engage in activities/games/puzzles/care playing/crafts/etc, with our participants as well as helping Natalie set up, run, and clean up the night’s themed programming. When ICAN! celebrates a special event – they CELEBRATE!
There is ZERO expectation volunteers will be alone with any ICAN!attendees for personal/hygiene care, toileting, feeding, etc. Although ALL volunteers need to provide a recent police record check or alternatively apply to have this completed through Thunder Bay Police Services. TBFN can provide potential volunteers with a letter for a discounted cost of application.
